Call for Invited Sessions and Tracks

The goal of invited sessions (5 papers for each session) and invited tracks (at least two sessions) is to provide focused discussions on new topics or innovative applications. Each prospective session/track organizer is invited to submit a proposal, including the title of the session/track, and a list of authors with extended abstracts before June 15, 2024. Authors who wish to compete for the Best Paper Award at the conference must submit a complete paper, with the final version due by July 15, 2024.

Topics of Interest

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to, those listed in the following tracks:

  1. Track 1:Fundamentals and theoretical development of service science:

    The application of emerging theories in service science; Interdisciplinary integration of service science research; Modeling and simulation of complex service systems; Theoretical and practical analysis of co creation of service value.
  2. Track 2:Service operation management and optimization:

    Service quality management and improvement methods; Lean and agile strategies for service operations; Service process reengineering and innovation; Data driven service operation.
  3. Track 3:Service system design and innovation:

    The design thinking and practice of service systems; Design and management of digital service platforms; The application of system engineering in service design; The role of innovative technology in service system design.
  4. Track 4:Service marketing and customer engagement:

    Multi-channel service marketing strategies; Customer engagement and community building; The challenges of data security and privacy protection in service marketing; Trends and innovations in service marketing.
  5. Track 5:Service technology, innovation, and digital transformation:

    Cloud computing and service computing; The application of the Internet of Things (IOT) in service systems; The role of big data and analysis in service management; The application management of artificial intelligence and automation in service provision.
  6. Track 6: Supply Chain Management for Service:

    Supply chain planning, value delivery, supply chain management based on emergency, supply chain cluster, transportation management systems, return logistics, supplier relationship management, logistics visibility and control, procurement.
  7. Track 7: Service Information Technology and Decision Making:

    Integrated information management systems, real-time identification and tracking technology, agent theory and technology, software agent based systems, intelligent decision support systems, artificial intelligence, RFID technology and applications, data warehousing and data mining, systems integration.
  8. Track 8: Electronic Business New Models and Strategies:

    Internet finance, cloud computing and big data for e-business/e-service, open innovations for e- business/e-service, online to offline marketing, information sharing in e-business/e-service environment, distribution channels and product variety of e-business/e-service, e-logistics management.
  9. Track 9: Data Analytic and Service Management:

    Big data computing and applications, data analytic, data mining, predictive analytic, knowledge discovery, classification, risk detection for service management.
  10. Track 10: Service Empirical Studies and Case Studies:

    Education, public service, transportation, telecommunication, maintenance, finance/ insurance/real estate, distribution/retail, tourism, after-sales service, service for social, economic, and cultural events (e.g., exhibitions, sports, festivals).

Paper Submission

  1. Interested participants are invited to submit either extended abstracts or full-length papers (maximum 6 pages) to the conference;

  2. Invite potential session/track organizers to submit a proposal, which includes the title of the session/track and a list of authors with extended summaries;

  3. There is no specific format requirement for extended abstracts or full-length papers;

  4. Only full-length papers will be considered for Best Paper Award;

  5. All submissions must be sent as .PDF or .DOC files to the email: ICSSSM2024@163.com

Best Paper Award

The Best (Student) Paper Award will be announced to recognize excellence of the papers to be presented in the conference. In addition to a certificate, the best papers will be recommended for publication in the Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering (an SCI Journal) and Journal of Systems and Management.
